Rozmberk Castle
Rozmberk Castle
Rozmberk Castle (Cesky Krumlov district) was constructed by Vitek in the mid-13th century and remained the main residence of the House of Vítek until the 1290s when the family branch with a red rose in the coat-of-arms moved their seat to Krumlov. Until 1600 the castle was in the hands of the Rozmberks. In the mid-19th century it was reconstructed in Romantic Gothic style. Jakobínka Tower represents the oldest part of the castle. Numerous interiors include the Knights hall with a panel ceiling and wall paintings, a picture gallery, arms and recently established hangman’s house.
Rozmberk Castle is a great target for a Tailor-made Tour.
